William Davis

Mr. William Wesley Davis, 83, of Pfafftown, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born May 31, 1935 in Forsyth County to Ruth Crosby Wall Davis and Jesse Shumate Davis, Sr. Mr. Davis was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company was an avid fisherman. Mr. Davis enjoyed woodworking , gardening and going to the shooting range with his friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Shumate Davis, Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Ruth Davis and Julie Marguerite Davis; three brothers, James W. Davis (Carole), Joseph H. Davis (Vickie) and Thomas C. Davis (Ann); a special friend, Judy Thompson and a sister-in-law, Judy Davis. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
