William "Bill" Joseph Wieners

Mr. William ""Bill"" Joseph Wieners, 69, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born February 14, 1945 in Baltimore, MD to Joseph Albert and Anne Marie Walter Wieners. Mr. Wieners was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and a member of Old Town Golf Club. He graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD and was retired from Ernst and Young with 38 years of loyal service. He was past member of the Board of Directors for the UNC School of the Arts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Wieners. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Cynthia Wieners of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Anne McGrath and husband John of King; one son, Jeffrey William Wieners of Tampa, FL; two granddaughters, Maryanne McGrath and Jenna Wieners; and one brother, Mike Wieners and wife Colleen of Baltimore, MD. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Friar Bill Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 20th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the reading of the liturgy at 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 1730 Link Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
