William "Billy" Whittington

Mr. William “Billy” James Whittington, 57, of Winston-Salem passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Fancy Gap, VA. He was born in Abbington, PA on December 2, 1960 to James and Shelva Rose Whittington. Mr. Whittington was a devoted Christian and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was a precious son, brother, uncle, and friend. Mr. Whittington served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed fishing, drawing, and writing poetry. He had a good sense of humor and loved making people laugh. Surviving are his parents; Fiancé, Kim May; three sisters, Kathy Kilgore and Jim, Deborah King, Tabitha Whittington, Tamika Whittington; one brother, Joseph Whittington and wife Heather; numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much, and they loved him. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Oak Hill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church, 3760 Oak Hill Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27051.
