Mr. William Henry White, Jr., 64, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019. He was born in Virginia on February 7, 1955, to the late William Henry White, Sr. and Hattie Mae Dubose White. Mr. White was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a huge New York Giants fan. Mr. White was a hardworking man who spent his life as a mechanic. He never met a stranger and was very unselfish.
In addition to his parents, Mr. White is preceded in death by two sisters, Roslyn White and Roselee White; a grandson, Angel White; a nephew, Terrance White; and an uncle, Robert Dubose. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cheryl White; four children: Rashidah White, Latisha White and her mother, Theresa Betts, Darius White (Paula), and William White (Chandra Wattie); six grandchildren: Darius White, Jr., William White, Jr. (Milagros), Jalisa White, Desire White, Nyzaih White, and Demaris White; three great-grandchildren: Zakih Dunlop, Lennox White, and Perez White; four siblings: Dorothy White, Dennis White, and Laverna White(Charlotte); five uncles: Jerry Dubose, Duke Dubose, Woody Dubose, Joe Dubose and Woodrow Dubose; a dear friend, Lewis “Boogaloo” Mitchell; and a host of nephews, nieces, and other family members.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
