Willie "Dub" B. Foster, Jr.

Mr. Willie ""Dub"" B. Foster, Jr., 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015. He was born March 3, 1931 to Jaspen Blevins Foster and Willie Bethea Foster, Sr. Mr. Foster loved the Lord was a faithful member of Pine Chapel Moravian Church where he taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and played in the band. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 43 years of service. After retirement, he loved working in his yard, listening to music and watching musical shows in the evenings. Mr. Foster was a loving and caring husband, daddy and grandpa. He always enjoyed their visits and calls from his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Nickerson Foster; his daughter, Susan M. Foster; a brother, Frank and two sisters, Betty and Lela. Surviving are his daughter, Gail Fariss (Alan); four grandchildren, Jason Fariss (Sarah), Matthew Fariss, Eric Collins and Mary Collins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Pine Chapel Moravian Church with Rev. James W. Demby officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
