Mrs. Willo Mae Smith Watson, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at her residence. Willo Mae was born in on September 13, 1921 in Forsyth County to Clifton Hersley and Claudia Weavil Smith. She was a graduate of Sedge Garden High School and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Willo Mae was a devoted wife and mother. She was meticulous in all things she did. She took pride in all of her family and cared for all of her friends deeply. She was never without her bible and daily devotional beside her. She had an unwavering faith in God. There is no way to sum up her 96 years on earth, but if we were all a little more like her, the world would be a better place. In addition to her parents, Willo Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh James Watson, Sr.; daughter, Paula Watson Honeycutt; and three brothers, Casey Rochelle Smith, Pleasant Hersley Smith, and David Joe Smith. She is survived by two sons, Hugh James Watson, Jr. (wife, Julia) and Gary Smith Watson; one daughter, Lynnette Watson Stack (husband, David); eight grandchildren, Philip, Denise, Robert, and Megan Watson, Holly Dickens, Monica Garner, and Ryan and Manda Stack; nine great grandchildren; and one sister, Duanna Smith Nichols. The family would like to express their greatfulness to all the caregivers who cared for her. Also, a special thanks to Jennifer Watson for all she did to help. It wouldn't have been possible without them. A graveside service for Willo Mae will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating.
