Mrs. Wilma Fulk Hauser, 101, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 11, 1923, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Wiley Lee Fulk and Laura Shouse Fulk. Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member at Beck’s Baptist Church. Wilma graduated from Draughon’s Business College. After graduation, she went on to become a bookkeeper for Duke Power and later Ogburn Electric. With those skills, Wilma did her own taxes until she was 94 years old. In addition, she was known for reaching out to friends and family to wish them a happy birthday. In her spare time, Wilma enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and dining at Alex’s Grill and Ice Cream in Lewisville.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Evan Hauser, where she joined him while he served our country in the Army Airforce. Wilma is also preceded in death by her son, Hugh Hauser; seven siblings, Irene Hauser, Doris Gant, Myrtle Boger, Mildred Cain, Wiley Lee Fulk, Jr., John A. Fulk, Jane Vaughan, and Kyle Fulk. Wilma is survived by her two children, Nancy Brown (Tim) and Norris Hauser (Sandy); five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11am Friday, May 23, 2025, at Beck’s Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Vaughan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will be held at another time.
