Wilma Lee Motsinger Jones

Winston Salem - Mrs. Wilma Lee Motsinger Jones, 89, affectionately known as ""Mama Jones"", of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Russell and Nellie Robbins Motsinger, on May 13, 1928. She was a homemaker, helped raise several children over the years, and was a sweet and welcome face to everyone she met. In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Motsinger.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Richard H. Jones; two daughters, Melisa Carter (Glenn) and Teresa Tucker (Tim); three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Gene Motsinger; and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Motsinger.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, July 31, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Elder Johnny Ray Gardner presiding. The burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the funeral home.
