Lewisville - Wilma Freeman McBride, 94, passed away Monday, February 09, 2015. She was born in Jonesville, NC to the late Nathan and Mary Armstrong Freeman. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Linville McBride; two sisters, Mozelle Pinnix and Lucille Church and by two brothers, Bruce and Roger Freeman. Wilma retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Mrs. McBride is survived by five daughters, Monica (Carl) Keaton of Lewisville, Katherine McBride of Salisbury, Linda Dinkins of Yadkinville, Barbara Blakley of Lewisville, and Martha (James) DeHart of Lewisville; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Wilma is at peace now and rejoicing in her heavenly home with Jesus Christ her Savior. Mrs. McBride requested to be cremated, as did her sisters before her. The family will receive friends 3:00-4:30 PM Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel, 6685 Shallowford Rd., Lewisville, NC. A private family celebration of her life will be held immediately following the visitation with Pastor David Stetler officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity/organization of your choice. The McBride family would like to thank the nurses, therapists, staff at Bermuda Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and to Liberty Hospice for the love and care they provided for their mother.
