Mrs. Wilma Hiatt Witt Rogers, 85, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on May 28, 1940, in Surry County to the late John Alex and Kate Eads Hiatt. Wilma worked 30 years at Forsyth County Government and 17 years at Baptist Hospital Out-Patient Clinic. She also coordinated a free dental clinic with health care professionals for 17 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in King, NC.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Rogers, her brother Clark Hiatt, and her sister Elizabeth Hiatt.
She is survived by her son Michael (Lesley) Witt, grandsons Connor and Ryan Witt. In addition, she is survived by her beloved Sisters Linda (Roger)Spicer, Sue (Frank) Reynolds, Brothers James (Shirley) Hiatt, Wayne (Mary Alice) Hiatt, Ronnie (Mary Elizabeth) Hiatt, Johnny (Melissa) Hiatt, her sister-in-law Barbara Hiatt; her nephews, Greg Hiatt, Tim (Jacqueline) Hiatt, Robert (Colleen) Hiatt, Paul (Crystal) Spicer; nieces Tracie Hiatt Grubbs, Robin Hiatt, Mitzi (Stephen) Berrier, Amanda (Will) Gaddy, Kimberly (Ryan) Owens, Casey (Michael) Irvin, Alison (Keith) York, 14 great nephews, and 6 great-nieces.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at First Baptist Church in King, NC with Pastor TS Elliott and Rev. Jimmy Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem, NC to honor Wilma’s memory.
