Woodrow Speaks

Mr. Woodrow Franklin Speaks, 72, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Woodrow was born on October 15, 1945, to the late Floyd Marshall and Florence Kilby Speaks. He worked for AMP/TE Electronics for 35 years and loved sci-fi movies. Woodrow was a family man, who loved the Lord, and read his bible every day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Earline Speaks; three brothers, and one sister. Surviving are his children, Lisa Wilson (Tony) of Walnut Cove, NC; Woodrow Speaks (Dominique) of Baltimore, MD; and Sherry Williams of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and another one on the way. Also surviving is one sister, Ina Mae Bean of Winston-Salem, NC. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
