Young Sun Chong

Greensboro - Young Sun Chong, 79, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 16, 2017. Young Sun was born on March 5, 1938 in Seoul, South Korea. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Young Sun passed away just twelve days after her husband, Hyon, showing just how close they were.
In addition to her parents and husband, Young Sun was preceded in death by her daughter, Sunju Chong.
Surviving are her son, Kiju Jung (wife, Giyoung) of San Diego, CA; her daughter, Sunhe Yook (husband, Seunghee) of Jamestown, NC; three grandchildren, Renee Jung, Grace Yook, and Seth Yook.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Mt. Gur Cemetery.
