Yvonne Taylor Coe

Yvonne Taylor Coe, 88, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023.  She was born in Forsyth County on January 23, 1935, to the late Homer and Lora Hobson Taylor.  Mrs. Coe enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching Gunsmoke and soap operas.  She loved reading The Upper Room and her Bible every day, having visitors, and eating a good cheeseburger with tomato and mustard.  Special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Kathy for providing her The Upper Room.  Preceding her in death was a son, Jeff Coe; two sisters, Pauline Hunt and Wilma McBrien; three brothers, Bernie Taylor, Roger Taylor, and Jimmy Taylor and a son-in-law, Frank Fowler.  Surviving are two sons, Billy Van Coe (Kathy) and Darryl Coe; daughter, Sharon Coe Fowler; five grandchildren, Cory Fowler, Patricia Coe Hoosier (Jonah), Jodi Coe Wilmoth (Broz), Ethan Thomas Coe (Samantha) and Kayla Fowler Muir (John); four great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Brown; brother, Ron Taylor (Martha) and a niece, Jan Blevins.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Union Ridge United Methodist Church.  The family would also like to thank the caregivers at Southfork Assisted Living in Winston-Salem for the care they have given Yvonne through the years.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) NW Piedmont PO Box 26632 Winston-Salem, NC 27114-6632.
