Alice Slaydon

Alice Pauline Foster Slaydon passed away peacefully on June 27, 2022 at Clemmons Village II Assisted Living.  Polly was born on November 3, 1924 in Mocksville, NC to the late F. Kerr and Beulah Cope Foster.  She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Irving, TJ, Phil, and Frank.  She is survived by five nieces and one nephew who will miss her dearly.  Polly was employed by the Veterans Administration in Winston-Salem her entire adult life and a faithful long-time member of Hanes United Methodist Church.  She will always be remembered for her kind spirit and great fashion style.  Polly will lie-in-state on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 4:00-5:30 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway followed by a graveside service Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, NC.
