Mrs. Arvella Brown Williams, age 94 of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living.  She was born May 30, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late Isaac Filmore Brown, Sr. and Pearl Myers Brown.  Arvella had retired from McLean Trucking Company with over 30 years of service.  She was a longtime member of Urban Street Baptist Church and Vernon Forest Baptist Church. In her later years she was a member of Waughtown Baptist Church and Salem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Coy Williams, and three brothers, James Carnie Brown, Rev. Jack Bruce Brown, and Isaac Filmore Brown, Jr. She is survived by one daughter; Janet W. VanDagna of Walkertown. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by Rev. Kivett Hicks, Pastor of Salem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Park Rd., Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
