Audrey Whisenhunt

Mrs. Audrey Lunsford Whisenhunt, 65, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021. She was born in Forsyth County on May 16, 1956, to the late Roy Edgar and Maude Beatrice Hayes Lunsford. Mrs. Whisenhunt was of the Baptist faith and attended Gold Floss Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and nanny. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whisenhunt is preceded in death by a great-grandchild and a sister, Janice Blanton. Surviving is her loving husband of 28 years, Rickey W. Whisenhunt; son, Robert Cummings of Statesville; two daughters, Amy King of Winston-Salem and Jennifer King of Winston-Salem; two step-children, Robby Whisenhunt of Winston-Salem and Amanda Whisenhunt of Winston-Salem; fifteen grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Susan Mitchell and husband Ronald of King and Pat Thomas of High Point. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 17, 2021 , at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Rev. John E. Sealey. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
