Barry Parks

Mr. Barry Eugene Parks, 79, passed away Thursday, July 15 at the W.G. Hefner Veterans Administration Hospital in Salisbury.  He was born November 10, 1941, in Forsyth County, the son of Roy and Alma Sprinkle Parks.  He retired from McLean Trucking Co. and loved to hunt and fish.  Barry was an easygoing person who did not let anything bother him.  He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carolyn Parks; his former wife, Shelby Parks, and a special sister-in-law, who was his caregiver, Brenda Parks.  Survivors include his two sons, Barry Parks, Jr. (Michelle) and Dwayne Parks; his six grandchildren, Grayson, Mekale, Emma, Seth, Jessica, and Matthew; his three brothers, Stanley Parks, Tim Parks (Debbie) and Stephen Parks and numerous nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev.
