Betty Bowen Mikles

Betty Bowen Mikles, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Village Care of King. She was born February 16, 1941, in Forsyth County to the late John Soloman Bowen and Pearl Johnson Bowen. Betty was a loving and devoted member of her family who often would show her love through cooking and caretaking. In her later years she enjoyed coloring as well as spending time with her faithful little dog Rusty. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband John “Ped” Mikles, her son; Jeff Mikles, and two grandsons; Jonathan Blake Mikles and Austin Hunter Protelsch. Betty is survived by her son Barry Mikles, a granddaughter, Cassey Mikles (Brandon), a great-grandson; Carsyn Blake Mikles, and many special friends including Margaret Woods. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Tommy Holder officiating, burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In addition to the service family and friends are welcome to visit the family at the home of Cassey Mikles on Tuesday after the service.
