Cory Mabe

Mr. Cory Ray Mabe, 31, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home. He was born in Forsyth Co. on January 24, 1989 the son of Dana Mabe Schatz and the late Tony Ray Mabe. First and foremost, Cory loved his son dearly! They enjoyed playing sports together and just hanging out and having fun. He worked hard and always tried to help others. Cory loved to bowl and earned his 300 ring as a teenager. He also loved music and played the drums. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry Mabe. Cory is survived by his son, Chase Carter Mabe; his fiancé, Amanda Holden; his mother, Dana Mabe Schatz (Russell); a step-brother, Christopher Demers; his maternal grandmother, Marlene Smith; his maternal grandfather, Junior Smith (Dianna Welsh); his paternal grandmother, Marie Mabe; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Cory will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at The Bridge Fellowship in Kernersville. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 prior to the service. Private burial services will be conducted at a later date. Due to current health concerns, everyone is asked to be diligent in social distancing and masks are highly recommended.
