David Bowman Sr.

Walkertown - David Gray Bowman Sr. also known as “Cigar”, 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 24, 2022. He was born on August 4, 1939, in Stokes County, NC to Edgar and Lenora Bolen Bowman. David was a hardworking man. He was loved by many, being known as a man who loved talking to people, and always struck up a conversation with strangers. He enjoyed spending his free time with his dog, “Little Boy”. David was loved by family and many friends, and is greatly missed by his wife, daughter, and dog.

Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by his two sons, David Bowman Jr., and Charlie Ray Bowman.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy McMichael Bowman, daughter, Ruby Pope (David), his dog, Little Boy, and many other members of the Bowman family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Gardens of Memory Walkertown in the Mausoleum chapel with Elder Rodney Marshall and Elder Dan Abbott officiating. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
