Kernersville – Edith Avoline Needham McGaha, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2020 at her home. She was born in Surry County on March 20, 1944 to the late Edith Holt Needham and Garnett Needham. Edith was a seamstress. She worked for Kaiser-Roth and eventually retired from Sara Lee. Edith loved to clean and was well known jokester.

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by one brother Buddy Needham and her husband Dillard Ray McGaha.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Ray McGaha (Terry Cobbler) and Jeffrey Scott McGaha; one granddaughter, Lacie Shae Hunter (TJ); one brother, Larry Needham (Wesley); one sister, Patricia Jeffares (Doug); and one sister-in-law, Gaynell Needham.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Bible Revival Ministries with Pastor Bill Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the McGaha family.
