Gary Tedder

Mr. Gary Lee Tedder, 63, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at his residence. He was born December 20, 1958, in Forsyth County, the son of William and Geraldine Bishop Tedder. He attended Baux Mt. Baptist Church and graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1977, playing on the football team. He worked for Duke Energy for 21 years and owned Natural Setting Landscape Co. He was an avid sports fan; enjoying the Washington Redskins, the Demon Deacons and Richard Petty. Gary also enjoyed fishing, golf, cooking on the grill and watching the stock channel. A good-hearted person, who loved everyone. Gary loved being around his family and friends, for whom he was always there. Survivors include his parents, Bill and Gerry Tedder of Walkertown; three brothers, Dean Tedder of Walkertown, Keith Tedder (Roberta) of Walkertown and David Tedder (Shannon) of Belews Creek; His niece and nephews; Kyle Tedder, Luke Tedder and Kendall Tedder and his girlfriend whom he dearly loved, Melissa Blair.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2022 at Baux Mt. Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory-Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Baux Mt. Baptist Church, 4334 Lake Woussicket Rd.  Germanton, NC 27019. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Tedder family.
