George Mitchell, Jr.

Mr. George Ronald Mitchell, Jr., 57, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Kernersville Medical Center.  He was born in Forsyth County on May 2, 1964.  Preceding him in death was a son, Bradley Mitchell.  Surviving is his daughter, Michelle Denise Mitchell, parents, George and Nancy Mitchell and a special friend, Melissa Banville.  Ron was of the Baptist faith and was raised in a Christian home.  He graduated from Louisiana Tech University where he also played football.  Ron had a long career in sales and loved to play the guitar.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 14, 2022 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Messer officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607. Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is serving the family.
