Gerald Edward Aneskewich, 81, passed away peacefully Friday evening, April 16, 2021, surrounded by family.  He was born June 9, 1939 in Doylestown, PA, the only child of the late Edward P. and Margaret Pavlica Aneskewich.  He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ayla Gray Little.  Jerry grew up in Lambertville, NJ, graduating from Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, MD in 1957, where he played football, baseball, and basketball.

Jerry then attended Boston College on a football scholarship.  After graduating from Boston College in 1961 with a BA in Mathematics, he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army, stationed at Highlands Air Force Base in Highlands, NJ until 1969.

Jerry ended up working in telecommunications and settled in Raleigh, NC in 1975, where he and his family made their home for the next 30 years and enjoyed 20+ years participating in Bible Study Fellowship.   After retirement, they moved to Davie County, NC in 2006.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Rider Aneskewich; 3 daughters, Beth Little (Greg) of Mocksville, NC, Teresa Lawson (Ken) of Raleigh, NC, and Susan Gloss of Hampstead, NC; 10 grandchildren, Bethany Little Miller (Grant), Jacob Little (Sydney), Will Lawson, Caleb Little, Seth Little (fiancée Jenny Lawrence), Emily Lawson, Jonah Gloss, Micah Little, Moriah Little, and Elijah Gloss; and 2 great-grandsons, Barrett and Colt Miller, with 2 more great-grandsons on the way, Owen Miller and Jaxon Little.

The family expresses appreciation to caregivers Melanie, Sherri, Kathy, and Stephanie.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Salem Chapel, Winston-Salem with Pastor Johnny Pereira of Salem Chapel and Pastor Josh Lindstrom of Woodmen Valley Chapel officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment with military honors will follow the service at Farmington Community Cemetery, Farmington.
