She was a very gracious lady that loved her family, spending time with her husband Darrell conducting several fun activities throughout their retirement years. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother to two loving sons, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her loving husband, Darrell of 62 years, as they surf-fished at their favorite place, Kure Beach, with their favorite people. She also loved to travel all over the country, go on numerous ocean cruises, and would use those opportunities to ballroom dance for several years as well. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Darrell, son Mitch and grandson Christopher. She is survived by her son Bradley (Jenny), daughter-in-law Cheryl Venable (Mitch), grandchildren Bethany Godwin (Steven) and Wesley Venable (Lauren); great-grandchildren: Blake and Stella Godwin and Adrian Venable. She also had several loving cousins that were considered brothers and sisters to her, that always stayed in touch. In addition, thanks to all of the wonderful people at Brookridge Retirement Community where she spent the last year of her life.
