Joann Wyatt

Mrs. Joann Whittington Wyatt, age 84, passed away January 22, 2022 at her residence.  She was born March 28, 1937 in Wilkes County to the late Walter Spainhour Whittington and Ruby Parsons Whittington.  Joann retired from Hanes Hosiery with 40 years service.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar “Ford” Wyatt; five brothers, Walter, Rex, Bud, Roy, and Ray Whittington.  She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Denise Cruthers (Mike), and Seresa Wyatt-Poindexter, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce and Troy Whittington; two sisters, Bernice Walker and Mildred Vannoy.  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev.
