Clemmons- Mr. John Wilkins, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 8, 2021.  He was born July 17, 1950, in Elko County Nevada, the son of Russell and Mona Forsha Wilkins.  He was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder.  A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, John retired from Lincoln Electric, Earlbeck Gases & Technologies, and Roberts Oxygen.  He was a member of the Porsche Club of America, Hobby Park Flight Club, and the American Model Aircraft Association.  John was a Godly man who was humble, passionate, caring, and patient.  He was an avid hobbyist, building and flying RC planes.  John was enthusiastic about anything with an engine, primarily automobiles.  Many, especially his family, will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother David Wilkins.  He is survived by his wife Judy Wilkins; two sons, Daniel Wilkins (Stacy) of Dayton, OH. and Phil Wilkins (Elizabeth) of Winter Park, FL.; six grandchildren, Marissa Wilkins, Arianna Wilkins, Roman Wilkins, Karina Wilkins, June Wilkins, and Virginia Wilkins and two brothers, Rusty Wilkins of Denver, CO. and Tony Wilkins of Palm Springs, CA.  A celebration of John’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, with Pastor John Lindsay officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Presbyterian Church, 2570 Harper Rd., Clemmons, NC 27012.
