Johnny Lane

Kernersville- Johnny Wesley Lane, 75, went home to be with the Lord at his home, Thursday, January 9, 2020.  Johnny was born September 20, 1944 in Surry County to the late Woodrow Wilson and Addie Edwards Lane.

Mr. Lane was a hard worker, loved to farm, and provided produce to everyone at no charge. He loved to go hunting and fishing. He also loved to visit nursing homes playing as Santa Claus.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Stigall Lane.

Survivors include his loving wife, Deboraha Lane; his son, Rodney Wesley Lane (Lisa); two grandchildren, Brett and Jessica; six brothers and sisters, Dot Grimes, Joan Norris (Eddie), Marti Polimino, Billy Lane (Joyce), Frankie Lane (Sharon), Theresa Andrews (Dwight); and a special nephew, Tony Lane (Joanie).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, 2:00 pm, at Kernersville Church of Christ. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
