Kernersville – Mr. Johnny Lovell Walker, 65, went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center. Johnny was born in Forsyth County on August 28, 1955 to the late Terry Walker Jr. and Joyce Hale. He was a member of Welcome Door Baptist Church and retired from the Town of Kernersville. Johnny was ordained as a Preacher on January 23, 2011 where he opened his own church, New Beginning Baptist Church. Johnny loved his family very much they were his world. More than anything, he loved the Lord and loved to help people. His passion was the homeless and the less fortunate. Johnny never met a stranger and loved to tell anyone he met about Jesus. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Parker.

Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Katherine B. Walker; daughter, Tammy Wade (Jesse Taylor); three grandchildren, Felicity Wade (Chris Graham), Savannah Wade and  Christian Wade; three sisters, Joy Lawson (Jerry), Donna Lane (Rufus), and Ashleigh Key (Andrew).

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Pastor Brian Taylor officiating.
