Judith Votel

Ms. Judith Ann Votel, 58, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Fredrick County Virginia to Jerome Votel and Jo Pendergrass Votel on September 17, 1963. Judi’s love for people and creative abilities were evident in her work as a hairstylist at Ego Hour on Stratford Road in Winston-Salem, where she worked for the last 34 years. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Judi. With Judi’s laid-back personality, her ideal day off would be making memories with her children, spending time with her grandson, or meeting friends for dinner.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Votel; brothers, Jay Votel and James Votel. She is survived by her mother, Jo Votel McFarlane; children; Comfort Morton, Raleigh Morton (Olivia) and Regan Morton; grandson, Sawyer Morton; sister-in-law, Nancy Votel, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

We invite family and friends to a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Parkway Presbyterian Church on Silas Creek Parkway. A brief visitation will be at 1:30 PM.
