Mr. Lee Armfield Gibson, Jr., 86, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on November 13, 1933 to the late Lee Armfield Gibson, Sr. and Neely Kirby Gibson.  Lee graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School and attended Oak Ridge Military Academy.  He was married to Geraldine Miller Gibson. They had a son, Stephen Miller Gibson. He was a faithful member of Williamson Chapel United Methodists Church in Mooresville, NC.  He retired from AT&T in Winston-Salem after 39 Years of faithful service.  He coached the Gray Hounds Little League in Winston-Salem for many years.  He also was an announcer for North Davidson High School sports for many years. He and his wife moved to Lake Norman in Mooresville and enjoyed many years together.  Lee also had a home on Oak Island NC where he enjoyed fishing and going out to eat with many friends on the Island. Mr. Gibson was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by his son, Stephen M. Gibson; grandson, Jacob Gibson (Colleen); great-grandchildren, Lucas and Morgan of West Palm Beach, FL; brother, Robert Gibson (Clois) of Kernersville, NC; two nieces, Denise Graham and DeAnna Baker; nephew, Robert Gibson, Jr.; cousin, Emma Benton (Charles) of Bladenboro, NC; and a special friend, Ricky Exline. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made to www.hayworth-miller.com
