Leola Barr

Mrs. Leola Shore Barr, 94, passed away peacefully Monday, March 27, 2023 at her home. She was born in Yadkin County on December 28, 1928 to the late Calvin and Fannie Shore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger E. Barr and daughter, Wanda Dean Barr. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Barr (Greg Tuttle, M.D.) and son, Gary Barr (Shelba); three grandchildren, Kyle Hager (Heather), Julie Barr Tedder Queen, and Adam Jefferson Barr, and one great-grandson, Liam Tyler Queen. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00PM Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Beverly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:50 PM Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Mountain View Baptist Church. Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel is assisting the family.
