Linda Fisher

Ms. Linda Nichols Fisher, 78, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born December 20, 1942 in Forsyth County to Amos Nichols and Nettie Cook Nichols. Linda retired from the City of Winston-Salem Sanitation Division in the Payroll and Human Resources Department. She was a Christian who loved the Lord and her family. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Kay McAllister; Surviving are a son, Jon Shumate; four grandchildren, Logan McDaniel (Brad), Grant Shumate (Hailee), Spencer Shumate and Owen Shumate and one great granddaughter, Evelyn Lineberry. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
