Luanne Hastings

Mrs. Luanne McKinney Hastings, 83, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away June 16, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Luanne was born in Danville, Virginia, On May 22, 1939, to the late Belford McKinney and Marie Eason McKinney.

She retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco after 30+ years of dedicated service. In her free time, Luanne enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading, laying by the pool, and traveling to her favorite vacation destinations with her family. Luanne also loved having her family and friends over for holidays, or just simple gatherings within her home. One of her most precious memories is the love she shared for her dogs, Pretty Boy and Sweetie Pie.

Luanne was preceded in death by her parents, Belford McKinney and Marie Eason McKinney; her daughter, Sharon Denise Murray; and her sister, Dani McKinney.

Her surviving family members include her loving husband, David “Dave” Hastings; her son, Darren Long; and her grandson, Jordan Murray (Katie).

A graveside service will be held at Westlawn Gardens of Memory - Mausoleum Chapel on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM, with Reverend John Bishop officiating. A visitation will be held the night prior, Monday, June 20, 2022, from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
