Manuel Flores

Manuel Flores-Machuca, fondly known as “Papa Meño”, passed away on January 7, 2021, at the age of 83. He was born on April 13, 1937, in Ixtlán Del Río, Nayarit, México, to Secundino Flores and Angela Machuca.

Throughout his life, he was steadfast in his Catholic faith and remained positive no matter the circumstances. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, spending time in prayer, and creating laughter-filled memories with his family. His family will greatly miss his sense of humor, patient nature, and dedication to his faith and family.

Papa Meño is recently preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Graciela Mariscal Flores, days after her passing on January 2, 2021. He is survived by 7 children, Rubén Flores, Rosa Farias (Salvador), Francisco Flores, Silvia Fuentes (Armando), Lorena Ibarra (Jose), Veronica Parrish (Kevin), and Patricia Sedano (Carlos); 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Ramon Flores; and 2 sisters, Carmen Flores and Maria Aasunción. He cherished each of his family members deeply.

A Funeral Mass will be held to commemorate his life, as well as the life of his beloved wife, Graciela Mariscal Flores, on Tuesday, January 12 at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 616 S Cherry St, Kernersville, NC, 27284. Condolences can be sent to 301 Collinwood Rd, Burlington, NC, 27215.
