Marcus Key

Kernersville – Marcus Lee Key passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021. He was born October 4, 2007, in Forsyth County to Julia Ann Gwyn and Mark Key. He loved singing, dancing, Tic Tok, making friends, and most of all he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Linda and Dewey Mitchell, and David and Jettie Taylor, grandparents, Cathy and Buford Key, and cousin, Ashley Nelson, and a great great uncle Robert Carter and his friend, Jason Moses.

In addition to his parents, surviving are his step-parents, Bruce Hilton, and Brittney Hodges, four sisters; Sara Key, Lisa Key, Nichole Key, and Angel May Key, two brothers, Alex and Zayden, grandparents, Terry and Melinda Taylor, two aunts, Shelby Joyce (Travis Vogt), Linda Key, Mary Key, uncles Kenny Gwyn, William Gwyn, B.J. Key, and Many special cousins.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 22, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Young officiating. Burial will follow in New Birth Baptist Church Cemetery in Walnut Cove. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
