Mrs. Mary Louise Smith Becker, 92, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield. She was born in Forsyth County December 20, 1927, to the late Albert Lahrue and Lou Etta Smith. Mrs. Becker graduated from Gray High School was retired from Southern Bell with many years of loyal service. She was a faithful church goer and held many positions at the churches that she attended. Mrs. Becker was world-wide traveler and even enjoyed bus tours. While living in Florida, she was a master gardener with her husband.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Becker is preceded in death by her husband, Byron G. Becker, and four siblings. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Bramlett (Richard); son, Robert Everette Simpson, Jr.; three granddaughters: Christi Grimsley, Wendy Caudle (Daniel), and Buffy Williams (Heath); five great-grandchildren: Taylor Grimsley, Sydney Sanders, Landon Caudle, Ryland Caudle, and Grayson Caudle; a great-great-grandchild, Clayton Sanders; a brother, William D. Smith (Carolyn); and many loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, officiated by Pastor Randy Whitman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 1075 Teague Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
