Melba Tesh

Mrs. Melba Juanita Williams Tesh, 93, of Winston-Salem, died June 11, 2022. She was born October 27, 1928 in Forsyth County to the late Jacob Vestal Williams and Edna Grace Robertson Williams. Melba graduated from Clemmons High School and Draughon’s Business School. On August 21, 1948, she married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Alton Tesh, who predeceased her on August 2, 2012. Melba was a lifetime member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.   Melba worked various jobs throughout her life, retiring from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company after 19 years of service, but the job she was most passionate about was that of being a mother. She loved her family deeply and with joy she also shared her love and caring nature with her dear friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, Melba was preceded in death by her nephew Kevin Williams, her bother and sister-in-law, Billy (Nena) Williams and her son-in-law Rev. Dr. Frank Fowler III. Surviving are her sons Larry Tesh and Clark Tesh (Becky); one daughter Karen Fowler; two granddaughters, Savannah Connolly (Michael) and Emily Watson; four great-grandsons Oliver Connolly, Felix Connolly, Emmett Connolly and August Connolly; a niece Ana Williams Milender and many cousins and dear friends. Special thanks to the staff at Vienna Village Assisted Living for their loving and compassionate care. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12 noon Friday, June 17, 2022 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, to be followed immediately with a celebration of life service at 12 noon. Interment will be at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, NC. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to Kate B.
