Patricia "Trish" (Hart) Sumners
Obituary
Patricia Hart Sumners, 67, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Orbin Vincent and Dorothy McCown Hart. Mrs. Sumners was a National Garden Club Master Judge. She chaired the Dixie Classic/Carolina Classic Fair flower show for 25 years. Patricia was preceded in death by her father. Surviving is her husband, Jerry Sumners; two sons, Justin Sumners (Erin Monty) and Eric Sumners (Tiffany Thompson); daughter-in-law, Mandi Sumners; granddaughter, Marissa Sumners; mother, Dorothy Hart; also surviving is her sister, Kathryn Morris and brother, Skip Hart (Jeanine). A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The V Foundation, 14600 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513 or by visiting www.v.org.
