Tommy Anderson

Mr. Tommy James Anderson, 74, passed away July 16, 2021, at his residence.  He was born February10,1947 in Wilkes County to the late Violet Bernice Robinson Anderson and Tom Jack Anderson.  Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and friends to many, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Tommy enjoyed fishing, watching golf and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vickie Cole Anderson and grandson, John Anderson.  He is survived by his two sons, Tommy James Anderson, Jr. (Tracy), and Scottie Anderson (Betty); 6 grandchildren, John, Mary Madalena, Patrick, Eric, Makayla and Alex; 5 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Makinley, Kayleigh, Ryleigh and Daisy (on the way); two sisters, Janice Wood and Debbie McCloud; one brother, Jay Anderson; a special sister-in-law, Mary Harris; and a special brother-in-law, Tim Cole. A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Bishop Harry Wood officiating.  Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
