Tony Nixon

Tony Alan Nixon, 53, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. He was born in Forsyth Co. on December 5, 1966 the son of William Phil Nixon and Mary Kathryn Bottoms Williams. Tony loved the outdoors and working with his hands. He worked as an over the road truck driver, driving for Fredrickson and Southeastern. Tony enjoyed gardening, his dogs and chickens. Tony was preceded in death by a brother, Philip Dwayne Nixon. He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Nixon (Edge Kirby); a grandson, Izaac Martin Kirby; his sister, Anna Marie McGee (Eddy); a nephew, John D. Nixon (Kayla); a great-niece, Addison Pearl Nixon; special family friend, Judy Caudle; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. A memorial service celebrating Tony’s life will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Friendly Chapel Church Fellowship Hall in Pilot Mountain. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
