Virginia Johnson

Virginia Ann Goodwin Johnson, 73, of Tobaccoville passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at SECU Hospice of Yadkinville. Virginia was born in Forsyth County to the late Huston Goodwin and Paulette McKnight Goodwin on May 23, 1947. Virginia, known as “Nanny” to all that knew and loved her was an artist who loved to draw and paint. She was a workaholic and always had a project that she was working on. Nanny loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them, one of her specialties was spaghetti. She also enjoyed watching old movies, especially the ones with Clint Eastwood. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Vilas Lark; two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her long-time partner, Roy Tomlinson; children, Lorinda Whaley; Diana Barricks (Mike) and Vilas Lark Jr.; grandchildren, Lauren; Bobby; Katherine; Wesley; Andrew; Alex; Kaitlyn and Haliegh; great-grandchildren, Kiersten; Bobby Joe; Bryson; Channon; Riley and Madison; brothers, Don Goodwin and Kenneth Treadway. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
