Mrs. Virginia Dare Farmer Jordan, 94, passed away Sunday October 10, 2021, at Grayson Creek Assisted Living in Lexington, NC.  She was born September 7, 1927, in Guilford County, the daughter of Henry and Elsie Dillon Farmer.  She was a member of Muirs Chapel United Methodist Church and was a believer in Jesus Christ.  She retired from Jefferson-Pilot Life after many years as a bookkeeper.  A member of both Jefferson Country Club and Deep Springs Golf Club, she was a member of many ladies’ golf groups and enjoyed playing as often as she could.  She also enjoyed cooking and being with her family.  Virginia always had a smile, had strong work ethics, and attended as many of her family’s events as she could.  She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.  Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. Frank Jordan, Sr., and a brother Robert L. Farmer.  Survivors include her two sons, John Franklin, Jr. (Laura) of Birmingham, AL, and Bill Jordan (Debra) of Winston-Salem and four grandchildren, Bryan Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Joshua Jordan (Lizzie) and Meri Jordan Langat (Larry).  A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Muirs Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery-Greensboro with Pastor Michael Watson officiating.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
