Ret. CMSGT Lionel "Lee" W. Ratcliff

Ret. CMSGT Lionel “Lee” W. Ratcliff, 86, passed away at home on Friday, April 5, 2024, to join his “English bride”, Julienne M. Webster Ratcliff. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Ruth Ratcliff; a son, Steven T. Ratcliff; and infant daughter, Sandra L. Ratcliff. He is survived by his two daughters, Julienne Coxsey and Elisabeth Ratcliff; four grandchildren, Ryan Brockhaus, Sara Heaton, Daniel Vargas, and Justin Vargas; six great-grandchildren, Alexander Brockhaus, Maverick Heaton, Mia Heaton, Santino Vargas, Zaylee Vargas, and Amari Vargas; and five step grandchildren. Lee served 29 years in the Air Force which during the early part while stationed in England met and married his “English souvenir” and love of his life, Julienne. He traveled the world during those 29 years, then after-military retirement was tasked by MACOM/Linkabit to put a team in Vienna, VA to build, maintain, and repair satellite earth terminals for communication for the government. Lee and Julienne then moved to King, NC and remained for the last 32 years. Lee started his own home repair business “Mr. Fix It” that also involved his love of woodworking and building furniture. Lee and Julienne loved their community of King and supported military, police, fire, and of course their church community at Kingswood. He loved his wife and family whole heartedly and will always be a “measuring stick” of a Christ centered, kind, family, and community man for everyone to measure against. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers foundation at www.T2T.org in honor of CMSGT Lionel W. Ratcliff and Julienne Ratcliff. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
