EMPLOYEES AT HAYWORTH-MILLER GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
RURAL HALL, NC — The employees of Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Rural Hall Chapel were surprised to find out they had won the $7,000 grand prize in the Pinnacle Ruritan’s annual raffle. The employees purchased a ticket for $100 from a member of the Pinnacle Ruritan Club. When they received word of the winnings it did not take them long to decide they should give it back to the community.
“Local organizations like the Pinnacle Ruritan Club are so important to our community. We felt the best way to show our appreciation was to donate the winnings back to the Ruritan club.”, said Scott Morris, branch manager of Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Rural Hall Chapel.
The employees of Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel were invited to a dinner hosted by the Pinnacle Ruritan Club on March 28 at the Boy Scout Hut in Pinnacle. “The appreciation of the club members was overwhelming. It felt great to give back to a club with such respectable and appreciative members.”, stated Forrest Boaz, funeral director at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
The Pinnacle Ruritan club was chartered 10 years ago. They are responsible for many community projects and support, including: providing dictionaries to Pinnacle Elementary School third-graders, giving goody bags to Pinnacle seniors; providing two scholarships each year to students from the Pinnacle area, just to mention a few.
